Introduction
Media Tek will be hosting a course in ‘Managing
Today’s Projects’. This course will be presented by
a PMI R.E.P (Project Management Institute Registered
Education Provider) and is suitable for
individuals with current or future project
management responsibilities. This is a highly
interactive course, during which participants will
apply the phases of project management to a number
of case studies that they select. As such, this
course is suitable for any type of industry.
This
workshop will be held at Suite Solutions
conference facilities, 3 Mill Creek Road, Pembroke.
The course price includes
lunch and refreshments each day.
Overview
Whatever your role in a project, it is important
that you are familiar with best practices in project
management so that you can effectively participate
in the project work and increase the likelihood of
project success.
This course is designed to provide project
participants with the knowledge and practical
application in using a flexible, efficient ten-step
process. This process maps to the classic project
management model: Project Initiation and Definition,
Planning, Execution and Control and Close-Out.
Participants apply techniques for gathering,
analyzing and communicating essential information
specific to each step. Working in small teams,
participants practice project definition and
planning techniques to projects they select at the
beginning of the workshop. Upon completion,
participants are awarded 21 PMI PDU's.

The workshop introduces main concepts and proven
practices in the four phases of project management:

using a simple case study. Working in teams of four
or five, participants then practice applying the
